Special Education: A Teacher’s Perspective

I am very excited to introduce you to Emily, who has been a Special Education Teacher in New York for 19 years. I recently sat down with her to discuss what drew her into this field as well as the challenges she faces each day teaching students who have differing education needs depending on their function level and/or diagnosis. What should change in the school districts to improve the outcome for Special Education Students? How important is family member participation? How did you manage teaching during the pandemic? On a personal note, what kind of relationship do you have with your brother in law, Jeremy? Tune in to listen to this dedicated teacher discuss all these topics and more! Special thanks to Emily for this interview…she is exceptional in her field and a beloved member of our family.
